Description
In Chinese medicine there are 5 seasons. Summer is its own designation with it own qualities
Its the last blaze of heat and fire before things begin the cooling decent towards fall and winter
Studying the seasons and staying deeply oriented in the seasons offer some magical and practical lessons
The magic is in the repetition the seasons repeat just like the cycles of life
Same with relationships, hardships and all changeâŠ. as it happens again and again we gain insight and we are better equipped and less shocked
life is repetitive and ever-changing this is the lesson of the seasons
Summer is the most yang time of the year all of nature blossoms and ripens, interaction and activity peak.
To harmonise, you want to feel the suns warmth, eat the ripest and juiciest fruit, sweat and have fun.
Know that the coolness and collapsing inward of autumn comes next.
Summer is fleeting and like all things good and bad will come to an end and will resurface again and again.
Join Katie and Anna in the yang in the heat of summer to move to sweat to connect and balance this out with the cool, the softness of a long yin practice and ealing Crystal Bowl sound bath.
The 2h30 long workshop will be followed by a chance to reconnect with Katie who is back in Brussels just for this unique occasion. We'll gather over some delicious healthy snacks and drinks Drink a flower.

Yoga found Katie 22 years ago and she instantly became captivated and inspired by the idea of awareness through movement.
A former gymnast, Katie credits yoga with some tremendous life transformations. She began her journey as a yoga instructor by sharing her deeply personal understanding that the practice of yoga can extend far beyond the physical. Teaching since 2007, Katie has been fortunate enough to take her passion for yoga on the road, to teach, study and deepen her practice in Hong Kong , Singapore, Bangkok, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Canada and 10 years in Los Angeles immersed in study at YogaMazé with Noah Mazé. Katie is 500 RYT certified through YogaMazé .
Katie's classes are physically challenging and dynamic, however they are designed to encourage and develop that positive, nurturing communication within- so students leave their mats not only with a renewed sense of physical well being but also an emotional and spiritual equilibrium. Katie's students describe her classes as âchallenging, but kindâ and teaching style as âquiet strengthâ.
Anna Ilkovics
I am a yoga retreat organiser who focuses on wellbeing and selfcare. Being from Sweden, my concept is all about « Lagom » which means not much not too little⊠Itâs about finding just the right amount that works for you. And a way to reach this balance is through yoga, meditation and sound healing. So it cannot be a coincidence that the word lagOM contains OM, the sacred universal sound.
Through my journey, I have followed different trainings like Inner Engineering by Sadhguru, Mindfulness Teacher Training, Yin Yoga Teacher Training and most special of all Crystal Bowl Sound Healing. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share my learnings during my events. I have combined the different practices to create a special well-being space. I strongly believe that we need to take care of ourselves first, in order to be there for others.
